![]() ![]() So I cut off the contacts to suit those people. We got a lot of low star ratings in the marketplace from people who could not sync their full contact list. There was a significant issue as we work to put the right UI in place. There was only a brief period where sync to native Contacts were not supported. At CompanionLink, we truly don't want anyone to feel they wasted money on our product. Just email me privately with your info and I can credit the card back if less than 90 days, or write a check if more than 90 days. Gaga I'm so sorry you had a bad experience.ĬompanionLink will be happy to refund your $40. We certainly want to work for everyone's business, and make sure they get the synchronization they need from PC to their new phone. Or if you don't get the service you expect, just email me mailto. We don't do it with Droid because the Droid Calendar API is unpublished, and so is currently no official way to make an app that writes to the Droid Calendar.Īnyone is free to call our tech support 50 hours 7am-4pm Pacific Time. We do it with BlackBerry, iPhone and Windows Mobile. We have a wireless sync technology that could bypass Google and sync from your PC to your Phone in realtime. ![]() Last I looked at the Google Data API we still lacked the needed functions. We have realtime sync for a number of our devices, and we implement whenever possible. I too would love Google to be realtime sync. It is a very high priority that all Google events show the same time as Outlook events using any version of Outlook, and any method for event creating including through Exchange and by meeting invites. My employee did the wrong thing, and should have reported the issues upstream for my QA to look at and see what is not working right. Without people reporting things I'm not sure if we'd see all the changes. Google Calendar is a work in progress, so for something we fixed two years ago, we often see Google modify the server side without notice. We have a lot of code to work around things the API won't do. The Google Calendar API, now 3 years old, is notorious for time zone and DST issues. For Droid, our current software goes through the Google Calendar and Contact API. Would appreciate knowing about your experiences and how others sync. But the speed and ease of the cloud are appealing. The price is not a major issue for me and I already donated to MPE and got more than my money's worth while using it on the Charge. I am also concerned and space and memory use on the phone if I don't use the "push" feature in the cloud. My major concerns are reliability and data integrity. This is very appealing but push takes battery and memory so I'll probably do it manually anyway. And, if I leave it on Push, I won't have to sync, data will be pushed automatically. It was done so fast that I thought it didn't sync the data - but it did. It also uses wifi, which is fine, but it takes time because I like to keep a 3+ year calendar on my phone.ĭuring the time I couldn't get MPE to work, I set up a trial of Companion Link using the cloud. However, I always found MPE a bit tedious in that the instructions are translated and not always clear. Got instructions from the developer on how to fix the problem and it seems to be working at the moment. ![]() ![]() I've used My Phone Explorer on my Droid Charge but had trouble with the Samsung S4.
